FQC Construction Management

Sacred Heart Church

New Church

The community of Sacred Heart parish placed the responsibility on Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) to manage the construction of this new south suburban catholic church. The At-Risk Construction Management Services provided by FQC enabled the owner to realize the benefits of having a construction professional involved during the design process to allow the owner to make educated decisions in cost vs. benefit situations. FQC provided the architect and owner with real time cost feedback on design decisions. This allowed the client to economize on building components which were low on the priority list, allowing extra construction dollars to be dedicated to high priority items. This facility includes:

  • Glue laminated wood timber worship space capable of seating 950 parishioners. This space incorporates the use of reclaimed stained glass, light fixtures and other liturgical finishes from vacated churches.
  • Day Chapel facility capable of housing daily mass for a population of 55.
You were with us in every phase of the job from assisting with the choice of the architect through the post-construction days of minor adjustments and additions. You have an excellent staff; in the name of all the people in our parish and all who will worship here in the future I want to thank you and your staff for making this such an enjoyable and worthwhile project. Rev. Robert McGinnity, Pastor
