Huntley Fire Protection District
New Fire Station #4
Frederick Quinn Corporation’s (FQC) broad municipal portfolio and proficiency with At-Risk Construction Management Services was an appropriate fit for the Huntley Fire Protection District’s desire to partner with a firm looking out for their best interests. FQC began working with the Huntley Fire Protection District and Williams Architects immediately upon contract award to work through schematic design in April 2010. The first order of business was addressing the District’s sensitive budget, in which FQC was right on target. An aggressive pre-construction schedule allowed for FQC to break ground in September 2010. Highlights of the new Fire Station #4 include:
- The 1st LEED Certified Fire Station in McHenry County
- Two fully equipped drive-thru bays
- Fire dispatch center and offices
- Full bunk arrangements and gourmet kitchen
- Fitness area
- State-of-the-art technology and data systems
- Associated site work including parking and lighting
- Features a portion of a steel beam from Tower 1 of the World Trade Center
