Mount Prospect RecPlex

The Mt. Prospect Park District, serving Mt. Prospect, Des Plaines and Elk Grove Village, identified the need for a full service fitness center for this developing area. In conjunction with the need for a fitness club, the Park District had a long standing desire to continue to provide child friendly spaces for a variety of athletic and development activities. These two ideas were the inspiration for the RecPlex project. Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) was retained to provide Design-Build/Construction Management Services for this innovative facility. FQC took the lead role in assembling the team which brought this project from inspiration to reality. Highlights of this facility include:

• Fully appointed children’s area including glass enclosed recessed indoor playground space, preschool facility, mini-amphitheater, outdoor play lot and support spaces for babysitting services.
• Fully appointed fitness center with two complete circuit areas and fitness testing center.
• Three full size basketball/volleyball courts
• Three racquetball courts and a
• 25 yard, eight lane indoor pool
• Adjacent children’s pool
