FQC Construction Management

St. Julie Billiart Church

New Church

Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) was chosen to manage the construction of the new St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church. Located in Tinley Park, Illinois this parish had realized explosive growth and was in dire need of a larger church facility. FQC was retained to construct this new facility in the confines of an already crowded 8 acre parcel. Both the narthex and sanctuary spaces are primarily supported by a pair of arches spanning the entire width of the respective spaces. FQC devised a construction sequence which allowed these massive components to be erected simultaneously, thus eliminating the additional costs for multiple mobilizations. Features of this facility include:

  • Antiphonal seating arrangement with capacity for 1000 occupants. Nave area features sloping floor construction for improved sight lines.
  • 112’ clear span construction supported by field spliced steel arches and glue laminated wood timber secondary framing members.
  • Flowing baptismal font equipped with independent water source, filtration system and automatic flow and level controls.
I want to write and compliment you for the professionalism of everyone in your company, the quality of work you do, and the support you have given to me and the whole Building Committee over the past two years. – Rev. Richard Homa, Pastor
