Historic Milwaukee Federal Courthouse
Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) has been selected to provide Construction Management Services for the fire & life safety upgrades at the Historic Federal Courthouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The Federal Courthouse, built in 1892, is a part of the Historic Registry. FQC has engaged the help of a historical preservation consulting firm, to ensure the work being done in the building upholds the integrity of the building’s history.
The work includes new fire alarm and sprinkler systems throughout the entire 5-story building which contains a basement, a sub-basement and a penthouse. The installation of these systems requires special attention to lead based paint and asbestos removal, as well as restoring the original hand painted details on the main floors.
The two-year project is scheduled for completion in December of 2023.
