Gower School District 62

Additions and Renovations to 2 Schools

Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) was selected to provide Construction Manager as Adviser services to Gower School District 62 including comprehensive pre-construction services and on-site management for their $9M project at Gower Middle School and Gower West Elementary School. The project was contingent upon a successful bond referendum passed in March 2012.

Construction activities began in April of 2013 at Gower Middle on the additions. When summer break began work was initiated throughout the interior of both buildings. Working an aggressive schedule, including overtime and weekends, work within the existing schools and academic portions of the additions was completed in time for school opening for Fall 2013. Work on the gymnasium addition was completed in October 2013.

Gower West Elementary School: • Enlarged and Upgraded Early Childhood Classrooms • Asbestos Abatement • Various Life-Safety Improvements - Ceilings, Lighting, Valves, Mechanicals, Parking Lot, Playground
