Joseph E. Fisher School

Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) was selected to provide construction management services for the complete life safety facility renovations for the Joseph E. Fisher School. The work is being funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). SOWIC’s ten school districts provide special education programs and services for approximately 2,240 students with disabilities. SOWIC is comprised of the following ten districts:

• Beecher SD 200U
• Elwood SD 203
• Peotone SD 207U
• Wilmington SD 209U
• Reed-Custer SD 255U

The scope of the work includes renovations and improvements to accommodate life safety and accessibility requirements. Specific improvements include:

• Bathroom renovations
• Exterior stair / ramp improvements
• Reroofing
• HVAC distribution and central plant replacement
• Tuckpointing
• Sprinkle system
• Door replacement
• New stair railings
• Miscellaneous finishes
• New PA system
