Historic Courthouse Renovations

Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) was selected by The Board and Administration of Livingston County for comprehensive pre-construction services and Construction Management services for the renovations to the Historic Courthouse, originally built in 1874. FQC and Dewberry were selected for this renovation due to the highly successful Phase 1 project, the new $16M Law and Justice Center. The renovation includes a complete gut and rehabilitation of this Historic Registry Building including restoring many of the components of the original courthouse.

Highlights of the project include:

• Gutting and re-creating the historic county board room to resemble its original 1874 character
• Restoring original tin ceilings and walls
• Restoring original millwork
• New office spaces
• All new air conditioning, heating, lighting, and sprinkler systems
• Complete bathroom updates

This fully renovated Historic Registry Building will house the County Treasurer, County Clerk, County Board, and Coroner.
