Addition & Renovations

Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) was given the task of coordinating the expansion of St. Ferdinand Elementary School in Chicago's Portgage Park neighborhood. Two floors of additional learning space was built over an existing single story building active with students, allowing for continuous use of kindergarten rooms and school offices located on the first floor. Once the two upper floors were completed and the first floor functions could be accommodated in the new space, the existing building was demolished to make room for a new multi-purpose room.

The new 38,143 square foot addition provided a new cafeteria and kitchen, art, science and computer labs, new Library Resource Center and four additional classrooms.
