FQC Construction Management

St. Benedict Parish

School Addition

Extending a long and successful relationship, the Archdiocese of Chicago and St. Benedict’s parish selected Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) to provide At-Risk Construction Management Services to construct the final phase of the St. Benedict school complex. This parish, which operates classes for pre-school thru high school, was badly in need of additional spaces for its youngest and oldest students. FQC managed the construction of a 55,000 SF classroom building. Some highlights of the facility include:

  • Thirty-two flexible classroom spaces for student occupancy of 30. Each classroom includes technology systems capable of supporting an internet based teaching curriculum.
  • Devotional chapel centered on the building to enhance religious based mission of the school.

Construction of this facility presented several challenges to the FQC team. Located in the heart of Wrigleyville, this building lacked an adequate staging area for construction. Coupled with the task of coordinating construction efforts around an active school and parish community, FQC worked daily with parish staff and surrounding neighbors to ensure that all activities were staged and completed without disruption. This constant communication was the key to completing this facility on schedule.

Speaking on behalf of the people of St. Benedict, we certainly appreciate your generosity in helping to keep the construction costs reasonable. I would be happy to refer your company as a builder of new construction projects. Rev. Robert J. Heidenreich, Pastor
