FQC Construction Management

Archdiocese of Chicago

Cardinal Meyer Administrative Center

Restoration and a major addition to a former Union Army Hospital and the site of a civil war prison camp provides new pastoral administration and ministry support space for staff of the Archdiocese of Chicago. The 66,000 SF building program includes offices, multi-purpose meeting rooms and a chapel.

This building required new construction to blend with the renovation of a 150 year old, Historic Registry Building. The new construction utilizes precast concrete, tilt-up construction for the exterior walls as well as the interior stair tower components. Architectural interior design includes all liturgical furniture and stained glass.

FQC was chosen by the Archdiocese of Chicago to provide the full spectrum of construction management services from initial budgets to final build out.

The Archdiocese’s in-house team worked with FQC’s project manager for over 16 months and have had nothing but praise for his performance. Thanks to him, the project was well run and came in on schedule and within budget. Jimmy Lago, Chancellor
