Village of Bartlett Selects FQC For New Police Facility Project

The Village of Bartlett selected Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) to provide Construction Management as Constructor services for a new police facility that can adequately meet the technology, equipment and system requirements of a modern law enforcement agency.

Construction is expected to be done in two phases, part of the existing building will be torn down to make room for the first phase of the new building.  Operations would then move to the new section so the rest of the old building can be demolished to make way for phase two.  The new building will be almost double the size of the existing 22,000 square foot building.

The work is scheduled to start construction in July 2017.

Helen Plum Library Selects FQC For New Helen Plum Memorial Library Project

Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC) has been selected by the Helen Plum Library to provide Construction Management Services for a new library facility on the existing site.

The facility is located at 110 W. Maple Street in Lombard, Illinois. The new Helen Plum Memorial Library project is designed to replace the current 35,000 SF facility with a new 55,000 SF facility that will meet 21st century standards.

Glenview Park District Facilities East Building wins ALA Design Award

Frederick Quinn's recent project, Glenview Park District Facilities East Building, was named a Gold winner in the 2016 Association of Licensed Architects (ALA) Design Awards Program.  This project was selected out of 133 submissions with only 5-6 projects named a Gold winner.  FQC was in attendance at the awards reception on Monday, October 3rd at Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace, IL where award certificates were presented for this outstanding accomplishment.

 

Wilco Ribbon Cutting And 40th Anniversary Open House

On September 22nd, Wilco Area Career Center hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the $2.1 million renovation completed this summer by Frederick Quinn Corporation. The renovation included a new state-of-the-art welding lab, upgrades to classrooms, labs and corridors, as well as an expanded vending area and new mechanical boilers.  A new standalone storage building will be completed this fall. Executive Director of the Romeoville Chamber of Commerce, Michelle Jarnutowski, led the speakers at the ceremony followed by, Will County Executive Larry Walsh, State Senator Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, Wilco Board President, Rod Westfall, and Wilco's Executive Director, Katrina Plese.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by Wilco member district board members, superintendents, school administrators, the project architect (Healy Bender), Romeoville Chamber of Commerce members, staff, family and friends. After the ceremony, everyone was invited inside for a tour and Open House of the school with refreshments provided by the Culinary Arts students. The Open House was attended by students, parents, interested future students and community members.

FQC Receives Notice to Proceed from GSA

Frederick Quinn Corporation (FQC)  was selected by the General Services Administration to provide Construction Management as Constructor services for the renovations to the Passport Offices and Lobby located in Chicago, IL.  
 
FQC recently received the Notice to Proceed.  The work will be conducted in phases in an occupied building and includes approximately 26,550 SF of tenant improvement work, including; general plumbing, fire protection, life safety and mechanical systems construction.
